First of the many.

I’ve said this a year ago, but I want to reiterate that writing is NOT like riding bicycle. If you haven’t been writing for a while, words DO NOT flow naturally to you once you start typing.

"I hate when people say that you never forget how to ride a bicycle. Because I forgot three times. So I gave up and got a tricycle."

“I hate when people say that you never forget how to ride a bicycle. Because I forgot three times. So I gave up and got a tricycle.”

(The above is taken from Humans of New York. Awesome website!)

Writing is about discipline. You just have to sit and rack your brain till you hatch some words and ideas. I guess the bible story is right about if you don’t use your talent, the talent can be taken away from you. Even if you’re good at writing or playing piano, if you don’t keep playing, you’ll lose that talent. Sure you can still play a few songs, etc, but the flow will definitely be broken if you know what I mean. I say an awful lot of “if”. Just saying.

This is my way of trying to break the no-writing phase. Let’s hope there’ll be more posts to come. ;)

Cheers,
Mel.
