When life gives you lemon, it’s easy to be sour about it and that is probably a normal reaction. However, no amount of worry or anxiety could help you solve the problem. In worse scenario, worry can make you sick (hence, worry sick). I believe some people grew up more positive than others, but it does not mean that if you’re a pessimist you’re bound to always look on the darker side of life. Positivity can be trained. It might take a long time to get used to but definitely possible. First, you have to surround yourself with people who build you up. Second, you have to feed your mind with positive things by what you read, watch, listen, etc (note: reading my blog is one way). Becoming positive is a conscious effort if you’re not already born/nurtured with it.
I lost my job but I gained time to discover what I really want to be doing. I know of a person who was diagnosed with heart disease but she stayed positive and got cured of it, miraculously. There’s power in positive thinking. Personally, I found religion extremely helpful in keeping your mind at peace. I know there’s a God watching over His people and that there’s always hope when you believe/want to believe.
No matter what situation you’re in, I hope you find that hope and the courage to look on the bright side. Remember there’s light at the end of the tunnel. :)
