2014 in Review.

2014 was a low year for me, or so I thought until I saw God’s revelation of His plan. Through human eyes we might not understand why things happened or what good can come out of a misfortune, but our God truly has a far bigger plan than what we can see.

Because I didn’t know why things has to happen I thought last year was pretty bad and I was just glad that I survived. However, now that He has shown His plan I’m in awe of how He has gone ahead and laid out the way for our success. Jeremiah 29:11 said “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse rings loudly to me now.

What actually happened last year was: He gave me a break to go on an all-expenses paid training in order to shape me up for the greater task ahead. Because I wasn’t aware of the greater task, I couldn’t see the value of being taken out of what I was doing and the training I had to take. Life would have been much easier if I had trusted on His plan. But through my flesh, it was hard to refrain from grousing when I was in the dark and couldn’t yet see the bigger plan. I pray for greater faith to arise that I will learn to walk by faith and not by sight as much as I can.

Dear God, I pray for faith to trust in Your ways always. Even when the going gets tough, I pray that I will not stumble in my faith and will continue to focus on You. Let not the world take me away from You. I know my weakness and how easy it is to fall, but I trust that even when I can’t, You can, and through You I will emerge as a conqueror, not just survivor. Thank You God for your provision and deliverance, and Your love that never ends. Amen.

Note to self. Resolution.
